Lyndhurst is known as the “capital” of the New Forest and is a popular tourist destination due to its bustling high street with boutique shops and eateries and the picturesque scenery that envelops the town. Lyndhurst is famous for its thatched cottages, charming streets, and quaint shops. It’s also known for the New Forest Museum, which tells the story of the history, culture and wildlife of the forest, and a 14th-century church. Lyndhurst is popular among walkers and cyclists and serves as a great base for exploring the rest of the New Forest.
